Alyson’s McNay Art Museum Bridal Portraits
I am so excited to finally be able to share Alyson’s breathtaking bridal portraits from the McNay Art Museum! Alyson and Jonathan tied the knot with a beautiful ceremony and reception at the Chandelier of Gruene in New Braunfels, Texas!
The McNay Art Museum courtyard is one of my all-time favorite locations for Bridal Portraits. I love all the textures throughout the courtyard… and of course, those stairs are just beautiful!
How they met
It all started with a book 🙂 Alyson and Jonathan met in graduate school at the University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio. She was a bookstore girl, and he needed a book.
I absolutely loved photographing Alsyons and Jonathans Engagement session, Bridals, and beautiful wedding! Thank you so much for choosing and trusting me to capture your wedding day and all the fun leading up to it! Here are a few of my favroite images from Alyson’s Bridal Portrait session! I cannot wait to share their beautiful Chandelier of Gruene wedding!
- Here’s a little tip for brides to be: Get bridal portraits done. This is the only time you’ll really have before your wedding day to get your FULL bridal look– and you’ll have a good idea as to how your dress fits. If it feels a little loose or tight— you’ll know this from your session. Plus you’ll get some beautiful + romantic images (that most mom’s want) of you in your dress.
I loveeeee a good black and white!
the detailing on the back of this dress is absolutely beautiful! Alyson, this dress was made for you!
Those stairs are so beautiful for Bridal Portraits (Or Engagement sessions… actually, for any portrait)
Such a beautiful and Romantic Portrait… and the detailing on Alyson’s dress is so beautiful.
I had so much fun for Alyson’s bridals Portraits at the McNay Art Museum! This is definitely one of my favorite locations for bridal portriats!

Gorgeous Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort Wedding in Sant Antonio, TX | Allyson & Shane
This romantic wedding still has me beaming. Allyson and Shane tied the knot at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort in San Antonio, TX and celebrated with friends and family. Their Toy Poodle, Honey, had a big day, too!
I loved the bright springtime theme of this wedding. Allyson’s vision was a mixture of springtime with bright, popping florals and a romantic rustic feel. She nailed it, this wedding was gorgeous! They finished the day off with a fun reception with games and laughter!
As told by Ally: “My favorite trait about Shane is his sense of humor and how he’s always able to be the life of the party. There’s never a dull moment with him! What I love most about Shane is how genuinely nice and thoughtful he is. When he’s not being the life of the party, he’s always being attentive to me and will do anything to make me happy and build me up. ”
As told by Shane: “My favorite trait about Ally is the compassion she shows in everything that she does! It is a trait that I cherish deeply about her and it makes me strive to be a better myself every day. What I love most about Ally is the pure fact of how comfortable around her and I can truly be myself without judgement. I also admire the fact that she is so driven to succeed in life and it motivates me as well! She loves hard and I know that it is real and genuine.”
And of course, the love both of them have for Honey. 🙂
I absolutely loved shooting this wedding! Allyson and Shane, thanks again for choosing me to be your photographer! I had a blast.

Vibrant Maui Hawaii Engagement Session | Shanice & Jason
This is just the sweetest couple! Shanice and Jason are both local to Hawaii and have a beautiful Spring 2020 wedding planned! This Maui, Hawaii session started off in the rain– but turned out to be such a beautiful and hot day! We battled the heat and mosquitoes (the mosquitoes really loved Jason). We originally planned to have this session at Kula Botanical Gardens…but once we were done– we decided to head up the street to Ali’i Kula Lavender Farm to check out the farm and snag a few photos. If you haven’t been to this farm— you have to go! The views are amazing and this farm smells like heaven!
Shanice and Jason first met six years ago at their annual church camp. They found it to be an amazing place to just fill up spiritually & mentally. “Being with each other & with God & with God loving people is the best thing. It’s so therapeutic.”
A couple of romantics, the two of them love to relax on the beach. For them it is the perfect stress reliever and as they say, “sea salt heals everything.” Their dream place to visit is Paris, of course! Shanice and Jason’s idea of the perfect date is simple…good food, somewhere scenic, and definitely lots of love and laughter! Naturally, they think it would be so romantic to have breakfast or dinner in the city of LOVE with the Eiffel Tower in the background!
As you can tell, their photos reflect their vibrant love for each other and for life!
Shanice and Jason, thank you so much for choosing me to be your photographer! I cannot wait to be sharing photos from your romantic WEDDING! Enjoy!

Allyson’s Spanish Missions Bridal Portraits
I am beyond excited to be sharing this absolutely beautiful bridal portraits session with you today! Allyson and Shane tied the knot with a romantic ceremony and reception at the Hyatt Hil County in San Antonio, TX – and now that they’re married, I can finally share Ally’s gorgeous bridal portraits!
We decided on the Spanish Missions for Ally’s Bridal portraits. This is one of my favorite locations for Bridals. I love the beautiful brick walls and the gorgeous textures throughout the missions.
How they met
Ally and Shane met on St. Patrick’s Day in 2013 during a night out with their friends. Shane always said he knew of Ally long before they met, so when they were finally introduced through their mutual friends they hit it off instantly.
“After six months of dating, Shane officially asked Ally to be his girlfriend. It was an obvious “Yes!” from Ally because what immediately attracted her to Shane was his silly, outgoing personality and his ability to stay positive throughout any situation. And what drew Shane to Ally was her contagious smile when she laughed at his corny jokes, her witty sense of humor, and her constant encouragement for his success.”
“Through college graduations, first jobs, adding their fur baby Honey to the family, buying their first home together, and countless memorable vacations, it was time to take the next big step. With the help of his mom and sister, Shane purchased a stunning engagement ring and planned a detailed proposal at the Tower of the Americas in downtown San Antonio.
Shane asked their friends Ryan and Katie to coordinate a double-date dinner at the Tower. Ally excitedly accepted Katie’s invitation since she and Shane had never been to the Tower and had always planned on going. Friday rolled around and Katie had to break the news that her husband Ryan was sick and they would be unable to commit to the dinner. Since reservations had already been made, Ally and Shane continued to get dressed and decided to go on their own. They enjoyed fancy cocktails and a delicious dinner together while watching the sunset over the city. As they got back to level ground, Shane guided Ally over to a colorful mural surrounded by decorative waterfalls and ponds. That’s when a very familiar little bark arose and Ally turned around to see Honey running towards her!
At that moment, Shane got down on one knee with Honey by his side and asked Ally to be his wife. The two walked hand-in-hand to the Grand Hyatt where both their families and friends were joined together at Ruth’s Chris to celebrate the surprise proposal. It was a magical evening to remember!”
I love their love story!! Allyson and Shane, thank you so much for choosing me to be your photographer! 🙂 I absolutely loved photographing your wedding– and all the fun leading up to your wedding day! Allyson, you looked absolutely beautiful! Here are a few of my favorites from Allyson’s gorgeous bridal session!
