Allyson’s Spanish Missions Bridal Portraits
I am beyond excited to be sharing this absolutely beautiful bridal portraits session with you today! Allyson and Shane tied the knot with a romantic ceremony and reception at the Hyatt Hil County in San Antonio, TX – and now that they’re married, I can finally share Ally’s gorgeous bridal portraits!
We decided on the Spanish Missions for Ally’s Bridal portraits. This is one of my favorite locations for Bridals. I love the beautiful brick walls and the gorgeous textures throughout the missions.
Ally and Shane met on St. Patrick’s Day in 2013 during a night out with their friends. Shane always said he knew of Ally long before they met, so when they were finally introduced through their mutual friends they hit it off instantly.
“After six months of dating, Shane officially asked Ally to be his girlfriend. It was an obvious “Yes!” from Ally because what immediately attracted her to Shane was his silly, outgoing personality and his ability to stay positive throughout any situation. And what drew Shane to Ally was her contagious smile when she laughed at his corny jokes, her witty sense of humor, and her constant encouragement for his success.”
“Through college graduations, first jobs, adding their fur baby Honey to the family, buying their first home together, and countless memorable vacations, it was time to take the next big step. With the help of his mom and sister, Shane purchased a stunning engagement ring and planned a detailed proposal at the Tower of the Americas in downtown San Antonio.
Shane asked their friends Ryan and Katie to coordinate a double-date dinner at the Tower. Ally excitedly accepted Katie’s invitation since she and Shane had never been to the Tower and had always planned on going. Friday rolled around and Katie had to break the news that her husband Ryan was sick and they would be unable to commit to the dinner. Since reservations had already been made, Ally and Shane continued to get dressed and decided to go on their own. They enjoyed fancy cocktails and a delicious dinner together while watching the sunset over the city. As they got back to level ground, Shane guided Ally over to a colorful mural surrounded by decorative waterfalls and ponds. That’s when a very familiar little bark arose and Ally turned around to see Honey running towards her!
At that moment, Shane got down on one knee with Honey by his side and asked Ally to be his wife. The two walked hand-in-hand to the Grand Hyatt where both their families and friends were joined together at Ruth’s Chris to celebrate the surprise proposal. It was a magical evening to remember!”
