Marie and JC enjoyed a stunning wedding day at Vintage Villas in Austin, Texas. For their wedding, they incorporated Korean elements which were beautiful to see and capture. Their style was a destination Italian feel with cream and romantic deep red colors included as well. I had so much fun capturing their wedding day and seeing it all unfold throughout the planning process!
They met back in 2011 when Marie interviewed for an ICU nurse position. The director had JC show her around and from the minute she saw him she was swooning over him. They worked together for the next couple of years but with JC being a busy guy who didn’t want to be tied down, they went their separate ways for anesthesia school. A few years later after both moving back to Austin for their first jobs, fate was in their favor and they reconnected! They started off as friends but Marie knew she wanted more. They began dating from there and have been together ever since!
For the proposal, JC had planned a trip to Japan during cherry blossom season. But, as it happened, covid got in the way of those plans derailing that initial plan. JC wound up creating a stay-at-home date night and cooked Marie a beautiful surf and turf dinner. By the end of the dessert, he was suspiciously setting up a tripod for the iPhone camera. He then showed her a sweet photo book he made of them and at the end, he proposed.
So, so, sweet!
Congratulations to Marie + JC~ I had so much fun photographing this beautiful wedding!
