This sweet couple was married back in 2021 and we were finally able to get their couple portraits taken, hence the title ‘Day After Wedding Photos’. They are super sweet and such a joy to be around, Jacqueline and Justin are quite possibly one of my favorite couples to work with! Each of their images are a beautiful work of art, Jacqueline was stunning in her Pronovias dress with a dramatic veil that added a very fashion forward feel, while Justin looked dapper in a dark navy tux with a black bow tie. Faith is very important to them both so they choose a Mission in honor of that. The stonework of Mission San Jose paired with the ethereal light pouring in created an elegant feel, her bouquet was designed with lovely florals in colors of white, soft pinks, pops of burgundy to add a bit of boldness and greens. Day after wedding photos are a great way to get additional portraits from your celebration and it’s amazing to see couples in their wedding attire for the second time!
Notes from the couple;
Interesting fact about your relationship? Justin is actually a fraternal twin and we grew up in different cities. We believe we are twin flame/soul mates, and some of the reasons are because not only did we like ALL the same tv shows and music growing up, and are the same age, and have the same values, and we are truly convinced we were probably listening and even watching the same things at the same time. We are both Catholic, and when we were confirmed, we chose similar Saint names: him-St. Bernard me: St. Bernadette.
Name your favorite trait about each other? Justin ‘s favorite trait is my honesty, he knows I am dedicated to what’s best for him and us, and I am not afraid to have him face the hard truths.
My favorite trait of Justin’s is his selfless nature. He will do anything to make sure I’m happy, even miss a Cowboys game!
What do you love the most about him/her?
Favorite places to visit? New York!!!! We really love pizza! We love all their food of course l! I also really love the shopping and fashion! We also think there’s so much history and it has so much LIFE! There’s always something to do! We think it’s perfect mix of restaurants and concerts, it also has such a liberating vibe where you can just be YOU there.
An ideal date night? Dinner at a nice restaurant, going to another restaurant for dessert because I probably am craving something not on the first restaurant’s menu. Then come home and sit by the fireplace and listen to music and talk and get a foot rub. We also really love live music, and could go to dinner before the show and pick up dessert after to eat in front of the fireplace and the foot rub and discuss the concert.
If you could have a date anywhere in the world, where would it be? Italy, the Vatican, holy land especially. We think it would be awesome to have a date there as we believe our faith is what brought us together in the first place, almost like paying homage. Italy is gorgeous from what we’ve seen and very romantic as well as good food we can imagine, and we really enjoy eating and cooking, art and sculpture/design and bodies of water.
Do you have a location in mind for your session? Would you prefer, urban, beach or field? Mission San Jose, however we really like water and would love to maybe incorporate that into our photos. Uncertain if any of the other missions have a body of water near.
Did you have a theme in mind for your session? Unfortunately we do not have a theme. However we are into astrology and have these mugs we spent forever trying to buy at William Sonoma. They are artsy zodiac mugs, we are always drinking tea or coffee together and we would like to incorporate them somehow. We are also trying to find faux ice cream cones because every Sunday we get cones in the early evening as we have a very childlike and playful side to us We are also very passionate people, and want the essence of our love for one another to be captured in the photos.
What is one thing (beside each other) that you could not live without? God/faith
Describe in one word what you like/love in a photograph. Elegance. Justin whispering in my ear would be a favorite and romantic pose.
