A San Fernando Wedding
Lauren & John
Lauren and John’s wedding was SO. MUCH. FUN! An incredible venue, the most breathtaking details, and a crowd who danced the night away…it was SUCH an exciting day to watch these two tie the knot! John and Lauren are so sweet and so kind, and you can truly see from the photos how much they love each other. I loved being able to share their day and hear their story!
“John and I met when we were in college!” Lauren told me. “We were doing the same Masters program when mutual friends introduced us! I loved (and still love!) how goofy John was, and how I could always count on him to make me laugh. He also had the biggest heart, and cares for everyone he meets. He always motivates me to be a better person and I love that about him!
“How he proposed is such a fun story! John and I are big-time travelers, and we love to explore new places whenever we can! Niagara Falls had been on our bucket list for a while, so we decided to take a trip there over Memorial Weekend. We had talked about getting engaged, but I didn’t think it was going to happen soon because he had been in LA for work the past three months. So he hadn’t had a chance to go look at rings in Dallas…right?
“Little did I know, he was communicating with his aunt in Dallas who works for a jewelry company! He ordered the ring, and it was supposed to be delivered to Dallas on Friday. The bad news was that we left Friday morning for our vacation at 6AM!
“Thankfully John had his aunt change the shipping details, and shipped it to a FedEx in Buffalo on our way to Canada. The proposal was going to happen – and I still had no idea at this point! 🙂
“John is a big planner, and had everything about our vacation pretty well worked out. So on Saturday, I thought we were going to happy hour before dinner. Little did I know he was going to propose to me before we got there…and had hired a hidden photographer to capture it!
“He insisted on walking to happy hour along Niagara Falls, which didn’t make sense to me because we were already behind schedule and it was kind of misting outside. I was pretty adamant about getting an Uber (trying to ruin his big plan, ha!), but he finally won the battle and we left our hotel to walk along the Falls.
“Within 5 minutes into our walk, John pointed at some statue for me to look at…and when I turned back around he was down on one knee in front of the Falls!!! He couldn’t have planned a better proposal 🙂 It was so sweet!!! And of course I said YES! :)”
Lauren and John, I just love your story! Thank you so much for letting me share in your fabulous day with you! 🙂 I am so honored to have been your photographer, and wish you so many happy years of marriage!
Enjoy a few highlights from your incredible wedding day! 🙂
